‘Reducing Waste in Our Community’ Project - A Great Success!

Condobolin & Districts Landcare is thrilled to share the success of our Reducing Waste in Our Community Project. Thanks to the support of local businesses and community groups, we have successfully distributed all of the recycling cages we had created to various organisations across our community. These cages, designed for the collection of glass bottles, cans, plastic bottles, and poppas, have already made a meaningful impact. They’ve been placed at key locations such as:

  • St Joseph's Catholic School

  • Condobolin Public School

  • The Sports Club

  • Condobolin Physie/Tennis Club

  • Vermont Hill

  • Condobolin High School

  • Local 2024 Show (on loan for the 2 days)

  • Willowbend Gym

  • Condobolin Cricket Association

  • Condobolin Junior Rugby League

  • Condobolin Amateur Swimming Club

  • Condobolin Auto Sports Club

By donating these recycling cages, we’ve given local organisations the tools to help reduce waste, promote recycling, and generate funds for causes that matter to them. This initiative has received a warm welcome from all involved, and we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Wendy Patton for her unwavering dedication and leadership throughout this project. Wendy, your hard work and passion are truly making a difference in our community, and we’re deeply appreciative of your contributions. Looking ahead, Kate and I are eagerly awaiting the outcome of another grant application we’ve submitted. If successful, this will allow us to produce additional cages, as we’ve had even more community groups request them. We’re excited about the future and the continued growth of this project. Thank you to all the organisations that have already joined us in this effort, and to everyone supporting this initiative. Together, we’re working toward a cleaner, greener future!
